The program organized under Namami Gange was inaugurated by Drinking Water Minister Vishan Singh Chufal. He said that rivers are life-giving. Everyone has to be aware to save their existence and maintain their cleanliness.
In the program organized at the GIC ground, drinking water minister Chufal told the importance of rivers as the chief guest and appealed to keep them clean. Said he has a special focus on the cleanliness of the rivers of the state. He said that under this scheme, work is being done to make all the rivers clean. Chufal said that the government is working with full force to take the benefits of development schemes to the people. Referring to several schemes of the Central Government, he said that it has succeeded in connecting the common man in the main stream of development. A marathon was organized on this occasion. In the boys category, Kapil got first, Deepak got second and Neeraj got third place. In the girls category, Dimple stood first, Chandrakala second and Yogita third. The winners were awarded with prizes. During this, essay, slogan and painting competitions were also organized for school children, in which they participated with enthusiasm.
