BJP MP Ajay Bhatt got place in PM’s cabinet
Nainital – Udhamsinghnagar BJP MP Ajay Bhatt has got a place in PM Modi’s cabinet. Bhatt defeated senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat in the 2019 general elections by over three lakh votes. During the Congress rule in Uttarakhand, Bhatt, playing the role of Leader of Opposition, had also taken the Congress several times in the House. Born on 01 May 1961 in Ranikhet of Almora district, Bhatt has a long experience in politics. He has also been the state in-charge of Uttarakhand BJP. By coordinating with all the factions of the party, he also gave a strength to the BJP in Uttarakhand. Bhatt played an important role in the assembly elections as well. He has held several positions in the Uttarakhand government during the BJP tenure. Before becoming an MP, Bhatt had also been an MLA from Ranikhet, Almora.
Biography:- MP Ajay Bhatt took the membership of the student council for the first time in 1980. After that Bhatt never looked back. Bhatt was also made a member of the BJYM Uttar Pradesh Working Committee in 1985. BJYM also became the convener of Ranikhet and Bhikiasain tehsils. He was also a cabinet minister in the interim government when Uttaranchal was formed on 09 November 2000. Bhatt was elected MLA from Ranikhet in 2002 elections, while in 2007 he had to face defeat from Ranikhet assembly seat. In 2009 he became the Vice President of NRHM in the Nishank government, in 2012 was elected MLA from Ranikhet Assembly Constituency, on 19 May 2012 the party made him Leader of Opposition in the House.

Family: MP Ajay Bhatt was married to Pushpa Bhatt on 28 February 1986. Both have one son and three daughters.
