Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call on Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi. The Chief Minister said that the Government of India has been providing invaluable cooperation in the all-round development of the state through various schemes from time to time. The Chief Minister apprised the Union Minister about the educational achievements of the state and said that the state has got the fourth position in the Sustainable Development Goals Report 2020-21 related to education and the state has been included in the front runner states. From time to time, the Government of India has given necessary cooperation and guidance to the state for qualitative improvement in school education. Some important and ambitious schemes have been included by the state government in the annual action plan and budget for the year 2021-22. In which significant cooperation of the Center is expected. These include establishment of virtual classrooms in schools, establishment of smart classrooms in schools, e-tablets for children of aspirational districts, real time attendance monitoring system of teachers, spoken English program for students, virtual reality lab, digital literacy, digital microscope. And programs are important for the development of science and mathematics in schools at the elementary level. In view of the limited resources of the state, cooperation is requested from the Center. The Chief Minister said that locally available fat is available to meet the protein/iron/calorie requirement of the students of class 1 to 8 covered under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme. Food grains should be made available on subsidy basis so that along with improving the nutritional level of the students, local farmers can also get the benefit of it. In this context, necessary proposal including subsidy has been sent for approval of Government of India. The Chief Minister also requested the Union Minister to grant approval regarding the opening of fully centrally funded Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in the state of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, free land has been arranged for the said institute in Dehradun district by the State Government. The Chief Minister said that the physical resources made available to the state from time to time by the Government of India for qualitative improvement in school education, including construction work, etc., along with virtual classes for 1100 schools for digital learning and smart classes in 920 schools, vocational To promote education, important contribution was made in vocational courses etc. for 200 schools, due to which the state has been able to achieve the above achievement. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude on behalf of the State for the cooperation and guidance given by the Government of India from time to time. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagoli were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call on the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi. The Chief Minister informed about the preparations made by the Uttarakhand government in view of the possible third wave of COVID. The Chief Minister said that with the cooperation of the Center, a lot of improvement has been made in the health infrastructure in the state. At present, COVID has been controlled to a great extent in the state. Still the state government is fully alert. In view of the possible third wave, all preparations have been made to ensure the safety of children especially. The Chief Minister said that AIIMS Rishikesh is an important contribution of the Central Government to Uttarakhand. It has played a big role in the fight against COVIDKovid. In view of the odd geographical conditions of the state, there is a need to establish a similar AIIMS in Kumaun division. The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister for this and said that the state government would provide land for this. With the establishment of AIIMS in Kumaun, the people of the area will be benefited by world class health facilities. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagoli were also present on the occasion.
