Famous actress Surekha Sikri has died of cardiac arrest, she was 75 years old. She played the role of Dadi Sa in the serial Balika Vadhu. Surekha Sikri had earlier suffered a brain stroke in 2018 while shooting for a TV show in Mahabaleshwar, when there were reports that she had developed paralysis. However, she recovered after being in care. He had a stroke again during the lockdown, after which he was kept in the ICU. Doctors said that the blood clot formed in his brain was removed after giving medicines.

Surekha Sikri was a well-known name in the Indian theatre, film and television industry. She first appeared in the 1978 political drama Kissa Kursi Ka. Thereafter, she became a part of several Hindi soap operas. Born in UP, Surekh refined his acting from the National School of Drama in 1971. The senior actress also won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1989. Her role as Kalyani Devi in ​​Balika Vadhu is one of the most popular television characters.
