NSUI activists have expressed outrage over phone tapping. He accused the government of killing democracy by protesting against the central government.
On Wednesday, NSUI workers led by student leader Himanshu Rawat burnt an effigy of the central government. Himanshu Rawat said that the government, with the help of the Israeli company Pegasus Swiever, got the phones of party national general secretary Rahul Gandhi along with other opposition leaders tapped. The government is misusing the power. After tampering with EVMs, now democracy is being murdered by phone tapping. He warned that if this attitude of the government continues, then the NSUI workers will be forced to come out on the road and protest. Unit presidents Utkarsh Jain, Sudhanshu Pundir, Akash Verma, Pranav Thapa, Siddharth, Raj Thapa, Chanchal, Nitin Joshi, Kabir Vasu etc. were among those who demonstrated.
