Hospice! Van Mahotsav was celebrated on Wednesday in Rakkad Panchayat near the district headquarters. During this, MLA of Dharamshala, Vishal Naihariya specially participated and planted saplings. In the presence of MLA, 350 saplings of Ritha, Jamun, Amla, Kainth were planted. During the festival, 18 thousand new saplings are to be planted and 15 thousand saplings which were planted earlier will be maintained. The Forest Department was supported by Red Cross Society Dharamsala, NSS Unit of Dharamshala College, Maa Nodarani Sai Youth Club Slate Godown, Lions Club Dharamshala in the Van Mahotsav. During this, the MLA said that it is necessary to plant trees to protect the environment. He said that plantation should be done not only during the Van Mahotsav during the rainy season but whenever we get a chance. Emphasizing on every person to plant more and more saplings in life, the MLA said that plantation should be done to keep the nature beautiful. He said that the festival should not be limited to plantation, but the care of the saplings that are planted should also be ensured. On this occasion, Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Sarv Chand Galotia, SDM Harish Gajjua, RO Suresh Kumar, BO Meghraj, Secretary of Red Cross Society Dharamshala OP Sharma, BJP worker Jagdish Chand, Ravikant Sharma, Suman Thakur, Omkar Barsain, Jaikarna, Rakkad of the Panchayat.
