In protest against the arrest of Dr. Niranjan Mishra, principal of Shri Bhagwandas Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, the students, led by the former graduate council, demonstrated in front of the college gate with a black bandage on their heads. The protest was also supported by Shri Akhand Parshuram Akhara President Pandit Adhir Kaushik, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Naveen Kaushik etc. Akhand Parshuram Akhara President Pandit Adhir Kaushik said that this is a question related to the future of the students. Playing with the future of the students will not be tolerated at all. Students will not back down from the militant movement for their interests. He said that in the city of religion, many hypocrites are sitting in the guise of a sage. Those who are bent on destroying Sanskrit and culture. Such people will not be tolerated at all. Supporting the movement of the graduate council, Aam Aadmi Party leader Naveen Kaushik said that the behavior being meted out to the students and teachers is highly condemnable. Aam Aadmi Party is with the students. If the principal is not released respectfully soon, then the Aam Aadmi Party will launch an agitation with the students. He said that the police administration should conduct a fair investigation into the entire matter. The police administration is working under the pressure of people having political clout. Discriminatory policy will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The police should ensure action based on the facts. President of the undergraduate council, Devesh Pant said that such people who have no relation with the college. By misusing their reach, they are creating a conspiracy by pressurizing the police administration. Council’s vice-president Saurabh Joshi said that if the Principal Dr. Niranjan Mishra is not released with respect at the earliest, then the council will be forced to agitate on a large scale. General Secretary Pankaj Kumar Joshi said that many students have completed their research work under the guidance of Dr. Niranjan Mishra. Efforts are being made to tarnish the society of a teacher who is known as a reputed poet in the country. Which is highly condemnable. Co-Secretary Akash Bhatt said that proper action should be taken against the culprits after conducting an impartial inquiry into the entire matter. Among those who demonstrated were Krishna Kandpal, Deepak Pandey, Naveen, Ravish Joshi, Ramesh Pant, Himanshu Belwal, Durgesh, Satish, Kamal Bhatt, Pravesh etc.
