Ready to discuss every issue related to public : Government

Opposition’s uproar continues in Parliament but the government said

Members of some opposition parties, including the Congress, demanded an urgent discussion on the Pegasus espionage case in the Lok Sabha on Friday, while the government rejected the demand, saying it was not an issue at all. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that it is unfortunate that the House is not allowed to function and there are many such issues which are related to the public and the government is ready to discuss them.

When the proceedings started, Leader of Congress in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that we have been demanding discussion on Pegasus espionage case from day one. Along with this, there is also the issue related to farmers and the issue related to Kovid, he said. Chaudhary said that but the government is not discussing it. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi on the opposition’s demand to discuss the Pegasus espionage case, said that it is not an issue. Joshi said that Information and Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given a detailed statement in both the houses of Parliament. But they (opposition) are not allowing the House to function for the last 8 days by making excuses. He said that we want to work on the issues related to the public which have been decided in the Business Advisory Committee. The government does not want any bill to be passed without discussion. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that there are many such issues which are related to the people and the government is ready to discuss them. He said that the question hour is the right of the members, there should not be a hindrance in it. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that the way you (Lok Sabha Speaker) will ask you to work, we are ready for it. Prahlad Joshi said that Parliament is not being allowed to function and such conduct is unfortunate.
