Nitin Gadkari instructed to open one end of Kuthiran tunnel in Kerala

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, in a message posted on Twitter yesterday, directed the opening of one end of the Kuthiran tunnel in Kerala. This is the first road tunnel in the state and will greatly improve the connectivity of Kerala to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. This 1.6 km long tunnel passes through the Pichi-Vajhani Wildlife Sanctuary. This road will improve connectivity to important ports and towns in the north-south corridor without endangering wildlife.
Gadkari also said that changes in the country’s infrastructure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are ensuring better economic opportunities for every citizen.
