Punjab : Sunil Jakhar may be the next Chief Minister of the state

Discussions about the new Chief Minister have intensified after the party high command demanded the resignation of CM Captain Amarinder Singh amid tussle in the Punjab Congress. According to the discussions, former Punjab Congress President Sunil Jakhar may be the next Chief Minister of the state. His name is at the forefront for the new Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Sunil Jakhar has welcomed the steps taken by the Congress High Command in Punjab by tweeting.

Jakhar was once considered one of the leaders close to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Jakhar can also be given the post of CM as a Hindu face, because at present the headship of Congress is in the hands of Jat Sikh. These days, farmers are agitating across Punjab for three agricultural laws, even in such a situation, Jakhar’s role will be important because when the ordinances of three agricultural laws were issued, Sunil Jakhar was the first leader who opposed them.
