When the farmers tried to move forward at the residence of CM Khattar, there was a scuffle between the police and them. Farmers have been agitating for a long time for the return of agricultural laws, as well as they are also angry with the delay in the purchase of paddy. Actually, the central government has postponed the purchase of paddy for 10 days. It has been decided to purchase paddy from October 11. It is being said that due to the rains, the moisture in the paddy must have come, so the date of paddy procurement has been extended to dry the paddy a bit.
Thousands of farmers had gathered outside CM Khattar’s residence, raising slogans and carrying flags in their hands. He was also seen announcing to stay there overnight. Many farmers were also seen expressing their displeasure by climbing over the barricading. The heavy police force present at the spot used water cannons to stop the farmers from moving forward.
The policemen were also armed with tear gas shells. After the use of water cannons, many farmers were seen trying to move away by vehicles. The protesting farmers also gathered in front of the houses of the MLAs of the alliance of BJP and Jan Nayak Janata Party and raised slogans.
