President of India pays homage to Shri Pranab Mukherjee on his Birth Anniversary
President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday at Raj Bhavan, former President Late. Remembered Pranab Mukherjee and paid tribute by paying floral tributes to his portrait. The President is in Uttarakhand on a two-day visit. He has arrived here to attend the IMA parade.
Earlier, President Ram Nath Kovind and Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Seni) participated in the Light and Sound program organized at the Indian Military Academy on Friday.
Governor welcomes President Ram Nath Kovind
President Ram Nath Kovind was received by Governor Lt Gen (Sen.) Gurmeet Singh and Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj at Jolly Grant Airport. The President was also welcomed by the Governor at the Raj Bhavan.
President Ram Nath Kovind reached Jolly Grant Airport from Delhi at 4.15 pm on Friday. On reaching the airport, he was received by the Governor, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama and Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar. After this, the President left for Dehradun from the Air Force’s Mi 17 helicopter from the airport. Tight security arrangements were made at Jollygrant Airport for the President’s program.
