For the first time in the third wave, more than 1.50 lakh cases came in a single day, 327 deaths; More than 1.25 lakh patients in 10 states alone

In the third wave of corona epidemic in the country, the number of infections crossed the 1.5 lakh mark for the first time. In 24 hours, 1 lakh 59 thousand 424 cases of infection have been reported. Today, more than 40,000 people have recovered, while 327 people have died due to infection. Talking about the states, Maharashtra (41,434), Delhi (20,181) and Bengal (18,802) have the highest number of patients. In 10 states alone, more than 1.26 lakh people have come under the grip of infection.

Earlier, 1 lakh 41 thousand 986 new cases were registered in the country on Friday and 1 lakh 17 thousand 100 new cases on Thursday. So far 3.55 crore people have been hit by the epidemic in the country. At the same time, the figure of those recovering is 3.44 crores. At present, the total number of active cases in the country is 5 lakh 84 thousand 580.Condition of 5 most affected states

• 4 judges of the Supreme Court have come under the grip of corona virus. The infection has been confirmed in 2 more judges on Saturday. 150 staff of the court have been quarantined.
• The report of more than 400 staff of Parliament House has come corona positive. The corona test of staff and security personnel was done on 6-7 January.
• 50 doctors of PGIMS (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences) in Rohtak, Haryana have been found corona infected. In view of this, the institute has decided to stop OPD services from Monday.
• The Maharashtra government will implement night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am from January 10 i.e. Monday. Schools, colleges and coaching institutes will remain closed till February 15. Malls and salons will operate with 50% capacity.
• The new guideline has come into force in Rajasthan. Now every public event from the wedding ceremony will be attended by the same people who have got both the doses of the vaccine.
• 729 people have been found positive in Dharavi, Mumbai’s largest slum.
• Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala has become Corona positive. He himself has given this information.

Condition of 5 most affected states

1. Maharashtra : 41,434 people were found infected here on Saturday. 9671 people were cured and 13 people died. So far 68.75 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 65.57 lakh people have been cured, while 1,41,627 people died. 1,73,238 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
2. Delhi : On Saturday, 20,181 people were found infected here. 11,869 people have been cured and 7 deaths have been recorded. So far 15.26 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 14.53 lakh people have been cured, while 25,143 people died. 48,178 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
3. West Bengal : On Saturday, 18,802 people were found infected here. 8112 people were cured and 19 people died. So far 17.30 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 16.48 lakh people have been cured, while 19,883 died. 62,055 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
4. Tamil Nadu : On Saturday, 10,978 people were found infected here. 1525 people were cured and 10 patients died. So far, more than 27.87 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 27.10 lakh people have been cured, while 36,843 people died. There are 40,260 active cases here.
5. Karnataka : On Saturday, 8,906 people were found infected here. 508 people were cured and 4 people died. So far 30.39 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 29.63 lakh people have been cured, while 38,366 people died. 38,507 patients are currently undergoing treatment.

Status of 9 other states

1. Rajasthan
   Here on Saturday 4108 people were found infected. 227 people were cured, while 2 people died. So far, more than 9.70 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.47 lakh people have been cured, while 8,971 people died. There are 14,166 active cases here.
2. Madhya Pradesh
   On Saturday, 1572 people were found infected here. 166 people were cured, while not a single death occurred. So far, more than 7.99 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.83 lakh people have been cured, while 10,536 people died. There are 5,038 active cases here. There have been two deaths due to corona in MP. At the same time, 36 children, including a 6-month-old girl, have come infected positive in Bhopal. On Friday also 28 children were found infected. That is, 64 children have been infected in two days. The report of 12 doctors has also come positive. 
3. Uttar Pradesh
   6401 people were found infected here on Saturday. 171 were cured and 6 deaths were recorded. So far, more than 17.29 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 16.88 lakh people have been cured, while 22,924 people died. 18,551 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
4. Punjab
   Here on Saturday 3560 people were found infected. 369 people were cured and 2 patients died. So far, more than 6.17 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 5.88 lakh people have been cured, while 16,665 people died. 12,614 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
5. Haryana
   Here on Saturday 3541 people were found infected. 377 people were cured and 2 patients died. So far, more than 7.88 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.64 lakh people have been cured, while 10,072 people died. 13,937 are currently undergoing treatment.
6. Gujarat
   5677 people were found infected here on Saturday. 1359 were cured and no one died. So far, more than 8.55 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.22 lakh people have been cured, while 10,128 people died. 22,901 patients are currently undergoing treatment.

7. Chhattisgarh
   On Saturday, 3455 people were found infected here. 69 people were cured and 4 patients died. So far, more than 10.20 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.94 lakh people have been cured, while 13,613 people died. 13066 patients are currently undergoing treatment. In Bilaspur, 369 infected including 40 children have been found in a day. At the same time, 31 doctor-staff were found corona positive in Apollo Hospital here. The effect of community spread of Corona is now being seen in children. In a single day, where 40 children have come under the grip of Corona. At the same time, the number of infected children has gone up to 100. 
8. Bihar
   Here on Saturday 4526 people were found infected. 704 people were cured and no one died. So far, more than 7.40 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 7.16 lakh people have been cured, while 12,100 people died. 12,311 patients are currently undergoing treatment. Bihar has reached the top-5 states of the country in terms of infection rate. Here the infection rate has crossed 20%. The new case of Corona that came on Saturday has broken the record of seven and a half months. Meanwhile, along with a 21-year-old youth, two infected have also died in Patna AIIMS. 
9. Jharkhand
   Here on Saturday, 5,081 people were found infected. 1186 were cured and 3 patients died. So far, more than 3.74 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 3.47 lakh people have been cured, while 5164 people died. 21,098 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
