Sant Jagatguru Paramhans Das has announced to contest elections in Ayodhya. Sant Paramhans Das claimed that BJP is not able to find a suitable candidate, in such a situation, he will contest the election from Ayodhya and he will work for the upliftment of the saint society. He said that if Yogi Adityanath had contested elections from here, he was welcome, but after the announcement of his contesting from Gorakhpur Sadar, Sant Paramhans Das has increased political agitation by hitting the electoral rhythm.
Sant Paramhans announced to contest elections
Sant Paramhans Das said that the Sant Samaj will represent the city of Lord Ram. Along with this, he said that if the clerics can be given salary, then they will also get the salary of 40 thousand rupees for the Sant Samaj in Ayodhya. Along with this, he also promised to make electricity and water of the temples free of cost. He said that if BJP gives him ticket then it is okay otherwise he will contest as an independent.
If BJP does not give ticket then independent will fight
Sant Paramhans Das said that the sages of Ayodhya are running the Math temple by demanding alms. The respect that the Sant Samaj should get will be available only when there is a representative of their ideology, so I have decided to contest the elections. He said that he will not ask BJP for a ticket for himself. Along with this, he also narrated his works. Jagatguru said that he has fasted unto death for the construction of Ram temple. There has been a mass movement in Ayodhya to ban meat and liquor and he has been successful. Along with this, he has been continuously raising his voice for matters like population control, common civil court, cow protection.
Questions raised on salaries of clerics
Sant Paramhans Das said that when clerics can be paid salaries, then why not saints and mahants. The culture of the country has survived only because of the saints. We serve the country selflessly. When there were speculations about Yogi Adityanath contesting from Ayodhya, we expressed our happiness and expressed our happiness by distributing laddus and pedas.
