Haryana / Gurugram : Part of the roof of the apartment collapsed, many people injured, NDRF team engaged in rescue
A major accident took place on Thursday evening at Chintels Paradiso Housing Complex, Sector-109, Gurugram. Part of the roof of an apartment has collapsed, causing chaos on the spot. People are feared trapped under the debris. Rescue work continues.
A major accident took place on Thursday evening in the residential society of posh Sector-109 of Cyber City Gurugram. A laborer has died in the under construction roof collapse in the Chintels Paradiso housing complex here. Around 10 people have been injured in the accident while many people are likely to be buried under the debris. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is personally supervising the rescue operation after the roof collapse incident in Sector 109 of Gurugram.
It was told that renovation work was going on in a flat located on the 6th floor of Block-D Tower of Chintels Paradiso Housing Complex. At the same time, the floor of the drawing room filled up and fell down. After which the roof and floor of all the flats from the sixth floor to the ground floor were damaged. Although some flats from the sixth floor to the ground floor were closed, no one lived in them, but in the rest of the flats, some people present at the time of the accident are feared to be in the grip of debris.
Immediately after the accident, the fire brigade as well as the NDRF teams reached the spot and started the rescue operation. What was the cause of the accident? It will be clear only after the investigation of the matter, but in the initial investigation, the possibility of using substandard material in the building cannot be ruled out.
At the same time, the top officials who reached the spot have started questioning after taking information from the responsibilities associated with the Chintels Paradiso builder, including carrying out the rescue work.

Some people living in the society have alleged that many flaws were made in the construction of the building, which was complained several times, but no hearing was held. Media was not allowed inside. Till date no official statement has been issued.
