India issues advisory amid tension between Russia and Ukraine, advises citizens to return from Ukraine

Tensions between Russia and Ukraine have escalated. Due to the increasing tension between the two countries, many countries have advised their citizens from Kiev to return home. At the same time, now India has also issued advisory for its citizens living in Kiev. In the advisory issued by the Indian Embassy, it has been said that in view of the current situation in Ukraine, there is an appeal to Indians to return home temporarily from there. The Indian Embassy said that there is an appeal to the Indians living in Kiev, and especially the students, that they can return from there if their stay there is not very important.
Apart from this, an appeal has also been made to Indian citizens not to travel unnecessarily to Ukraine. The Indian embassy also said that the citizens of the country should keep informing about their situation to the embassy located there.

Before India, many countries like America, Britain, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Canada have also advised their citizens to return from Kiev. Apart from this, many countries have also closed their embassies in Kiev.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has claimed an attack on Ukraine by Russia on 16 February. Zelensky wrote in a Facebook post, “February 16 will be the day of Russia’s attack on Ukraine.” Zelensky also said in his post that he wants to resolve all disputes through dialogue.
