More than 1100 returned from Ukraine so far, 5th flight of Air India again reached Delhi with 249 Indian students

The war that broke out between Ukraine and Russia is taking a frightening form day by day. The situation has become so serious that Russian President Vladimir Putin has even ordered to keep nuclear weapons ready. In such a situation, a large number of people are migrating from Ukraine and taking refuge in neighboring countries. At the same time, the Government of India is also running a campaign for the safe evacuation of its citizens trapped in Ukraine.

So far, more than 1100 Indians have returned safely from Kyiv. However, still a large number of citizens are trapped there. According to the information, the fifth flight of Air India bringing back Indian students from Ukraine has landed at Delhi airport today. Air India flight (AI 1942) carrying 249 students and other Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine via Bucharest (Romania) landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at around 6:30 am on Monday.

So far five planes have taken flight

The first Air India flight carrying 219 citizens from Bucharest under ‘Operation Ganga’ landed in Mumbai on Saturday (26 February). Whereas the second flight from Bucharest with 250 Indian nationals landed at the Delhi airport at around 2.45 pm on Sunday night (27 February). At the same time, the third flight carrying 240 people landed in Delhi on Sunday (27 February) at around 9.20 am.

1156 Indians safely returned home

The flight (fourth) of a company operated by Tata Group from Bucharest reached the national capital at 5.35 pm on Sunday evening (27 February) with 198 Indian nationals. More than 13,000 Indian citizens are still trapped in Ukraine, for whom efforts are being made to evacuate them safely. As soon as the fifth flight landed in India on Monday morning, the number of Indian citizens and students rescued under ‘Operation Ganga’ from Ukraine has gone up to 1156.
