Since the release of The Kashmir Files, it has rocked the box office in many countries including India. Vivek Agnihotri’s film was supposed to release in Singapore, but the censor board there has banned the film. As soon as this news came to the fore, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor took a jibe at Vivek and the BJP. After this Vivek Agnihotri even called Tharoor a fool.

Why was the film banned in Singapore?
Shashi Tharoor has also shared the screenshot in the tweet. In this, the reason for banning The Kashmir Files has been given. The screenshot reads, “The Kashmir Files has a one-sided portrait of Muslims being misrepresented and Hindus being persecuted in the ongoing conflict in Kashmir. As a result, this film creates enmity between many communities and in our multi-religious society.” Has the potential to harm social fraternity.Anything that defames religious communities in Singapore cannot be allowed to be released.
Vivek Agnihotri replied
Vivek Agnihotri wrote, calling Shashi Tharoor a Fopdoodle (stupid). Dear Shashi Tharoor, for your information, let me tell you that Singapore is the world’s most regressive sensor. It also banned ‘The Last Temptations of Jesus Christ’ (ask your madam). Even a romantic film ‘The Leela Hotel Files’ was banned. Please stop making fun of Kashmiri Hindu genocide.
