NCB said in a statement, “Based on a tip-off, NCB-Mumbai apprehended Vikrant, Ishmeet, Arbaaz, Aryan and Gomit at International Port Terminal Mumbai Port Trust on October 2, 2021, while Nupur, Mohak and Munam were apprehended on Cordelia Cruises,” the NCB said in a statement. was. Drugs were recovered from all the accused except Aryan and Mohak.

NCB said, initially NCB-Mumbai investigated the matter. Later, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted by the NCB Headquarters in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Sanjay Kumar Singh, DDG (Operations) for investigation. On 11 November 2021, the investigation of the case was taken over by the SIT.

The statement said that the SIT investigated on the basis of evidence rather than suspicion. Based on the investigation of the SIT, complaints are being registered against 14 accused under various sections of the NDPS Act. Complaint is not being registered against six other persons due to lack of evidence.

NCB filed the charge sheet in the case on Friday. The agency submitted the charge sheet before the registry and the special NDPS court will take cognizance of it after verification of the documents. In March this year, the special court had given the probe agency 60 days to file the charge sheet.

Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB on October 3 last year in this case and he was released from jail the same month after getting bail. The report of the NCB Vigilance team can also come soon in the matter, after which the trouble of Sameer Wankhede may increase. Many flaws were found in the way Wankhede handled the case. Vigilance team can file report in this matter soon.

According to sources, the government has asked to take appropriate action for the shoddy investigation of ex-NCB officer Sameer Wankhede in Aryan Khan drug seizure case. The government has already taken action in the fake caste certificate case of Sameer Wankhede.

According to NCB’s DDG Operation Sanjay Kumar Singh, based on the evidence we have collected during the investigation, we got evidence against 14 and we filed a complaint against them, we did not get enough evidence against 6 others, so we filed against them. did not do.

He said that we did not get enough evidence against Aryan Khan and 5 others. Hence, we have decided not to file a complaint against those six.

Due to lack of evidence, chargesheet was not filed against 6 including Aryan. The 6 people against whom the chargesheet has not been filed are Aryan Khan, Avin Sahu, Gopal Ji Anand, Sameer Saigham, Bhaskar Arora, Manav Singhal.

There are total 20 accused in the case, out of which 18 accused are out on bail and 2 accused are still imprisoned in jail. The names of the two accused who are inside the jail are Abdul Sheikh and Cheenedu Igwe. There is a total of 10 volumes of chargesheet which is currently in the registry of the court. Sources said that there is a charge sheet of 6 pages.
