Guldar attacked a young man standing on the roof of the house near the railway line in Vaidiknagar of Pratitnagar, Raiwala. Neighbors came out of their homes when the youth raised an alarm. Guldar went into the forest after the villagers raised the noise. The injured youth has been admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh.
Vinod Rajbhar’s son Babban Rajbhar, who was standing on the roof of the house, was attacked by Guldar at 1.30 midnight on Monday. After Vinod’s shout, the landlord and neighbors also started making noise. After which Guldar went to the forest. On information, the team of village head Anil Kumar, police and park administration reached the spot.
The victim suffered serious injuries in the attack. The injured were immediately taken to AIIMS Rishikesh with the help of an ambulance. where he is undergoing treatment. Vinod Rajbhar used to work as a mason living in a rented house in Vedic Nagar. He was living alone apart from his wife. Village head Anil Kumar told that the injured does not have an account in the bank.
The bank employee has been sent to AIIMS to open an account for compensation. A letter has also been sent to the Ranger and a demand has been made to set up a cage in the area. Ranger Motichur Range Mahendragiri Goswami said that the youth was injured in the Guldar attack. There will be continuous night patrolling in the area. Higher officials have been written for permission to set up a cage in the area. Financial assistance of Rs 50,000 will be provided to the victim.
