Jharkhand : Section 144 in Ranchi, internet shutdown, protest in Howrah even today

Violent protests erupted in different cities of the country after Friday prayers against Nupur Sharma’s objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammad. People coming out after Namaz took the law with them, stone pelted, huge damage was done to government and private property. In most places in various cities of UP as well as in the capital Delhi, the police took immediate action and arrested the protesters. Other suspects are being identified on the basis of video footage. While Friday was in the name of demonstration, on Saturday the strictness of the police will be seen. Read latest update here
The latest news is that section 144 is applicable in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Internet is down here. At the same time, protests are also taking place in Howrah, West Bengal on Saturday. The mob pelted stones at the police in violation of Section 144. Section 144 CrPC has been extended till June 15 in and around parts of National Highways and Railway Stations under the jurisdiction of Uluberia-Sub Division, Howrah.

Preparations have started for strict action against miscreants in UP and Delhi. Following the strict instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, FIR has been registered against hundreds of people. At the same time, a case has been registered against those protesting outside Jama Masjid in Delhi.
Ranchi: In Jharkhand, two people have died after violence broke out during Friday prayers in Ranchi. Hindu organizations have called a bandh today. At least two people were reportedly killed and more than 10 seriously injured in police firing to stop a protest by thousands of Muslims who had gathered on Ranchi Main Road near Dainik Bazar on Friday, June 10 .
Uttar Pradesh: After Friday’s violence, the UP government is in action. So far 136 accused have been identified. Most are from Sahanarpur. After the meeting which lasted till late night, orders have been issued that strict action should be taken against the accused. The damage caused to government property will be recovered by confiscating the property of the accused.
There was a lot of ruckus in many districts of UP.

The most violent demonstration took place in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Two died here. Several policemen have also been injured.
In Kolkata also miscreants created ruckus.
Demonstrations were also held in many districts of Rajasthan.
People protested in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, but there was no untoward incident due to the activism of the police.
