Uttarakhand / Kashipur : Order to file a case against the village head on charges of embezzlement

The court has ordered to register a case against the village head for fraudulently grabbing the amount of the schemes of the Gram Panchayat. It is alleged that Pradhan stole lakhs of rupees by preparing fake proposals for the works done during the tenure of the former village head.

Devendra Singh, resident of Shivlalpur Amarjhanda, through his advocate Abdul Rashid Nashtar, said in the application given in the court of judicial magistrate that village head Ankur Kumar is rigging and rigging government schemes. RTI sought in relation to development works has revealed that government funds are being misused by showing the works done during the tenure of former head Sarina Begum to be on paper again.

The CC road was constructed in the village from Shah Jahan’s house to Ibn Hasan’s house in the year 2016-17, but the head Ankur, showing the construction of this road during his tenure, paid an amount of Rs 1,99, 861 on 23 September 2021. Got embezzled For the construction of this road, the Pradhan got the proposal forged with the forged signatures of the villagers. Similarly, the CC road from Om Prakash’s house to Yameen’s house in the village was built in the year 2016-17.

By showing this road as new, Pradhan embezzled Rs 2.95 lakh. Apart from this, Pradhan Ankur grabbed an amount of Rs 54,616 by preparing fake bills of hand pumps engaged during the tenure of the former head. After hearing the application, Judicial Magistrate Ramesh Chandra has registered a case against the village head Ankur and ordered to investigate.
