In a village of Sadar Kotwali area of Sonbhadra, UP, mother and son consumed poison in a suspicious condition late on Saturday evening. The son died shortly after reaching the district hospital. While the mother’s condition remains critical. Police have also found a suicide note from the pocket of the deceased. In this, he has accused his wife of infidelity. The responsibility of his death has also been told to the wife, her lover and brother-in-law. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem. A young man resident of a village of Sadar Kotwali area was married 10 years ago in Ghorawal area. She also has three children. There is a dispute between husband and wife for the last one year. The wife is living in the maternal home. According to the father, the son tried hard to bring the wife home, but she was not ready.

Two days ago, the daughter-in-law came along with her brother and others and started carrying other items including jewellery, cash. My son was also beaten up for protesting. Since then he was hurt. His health deteriorated after consuming insecticide in a suspicious condition late on Saturday evening. He was rushed to the district hospital. On knowing about this condition of the son, the mother also drank insecticide.
He was also admitted to the hospital. On the other hand, the young man died during treatment in the hospital. On getting information about the incident, the Kotwali police also reached the district hospital and questioned the family members. According to Kotwal Dinesh Prakash Pandey, a suicide note has been found from the deceased. In this, he has mentioned about his wife’s illicit relationship in the maternal house.
Wrote in suicide note – wife used to talk to her lover on the phone for hours
He has written that he used to repeatedly ask his wife to come with him, but she was not listening. Used to talk to boyfriend for hours on the phone. His wife, his lover and brother-in-law are responsible for his death. The brother-in-law never used to explain to his sister. He has asked to hand over his property to the younger brother and to take care of his son also to the brother. Police has sent the body for post-mortem. Police is interrogating some of the in-laws by taking them into custody.
