Uttarakhand / Dehradun : There is a lot of interest in bathing in river springs, it is dangerous to visit these three tourist places in monsoon
The hobby of roaming from home and bathing in river-springs is taking a toll on the lives of the youth. On Saturday, six such cases have been reported in the district, in which five teenagers and a youth were washed away in the river. The practice of children going to the river banks to celebrate birthdays is also increasing rapidly, which is taking a toll on their lives. Risking his life in the name of ignorance, he gets down in the river.
Due to incessant rains, the river and drains are in spate
The district is receiving less rain, but due to incessant rains in the mountainous areas, the rivers and streams are in spate. Sometimes rivers and streams overflow. In such a situation, if you are planning to roam in monsoon, then stay away from rivers and streams. Maldevata, Sahastradhara, Guchupani are such rivers in the district, where even these days a large number of young men and women are reaching for picnics.
Vinod Kumar, outpost in-charge of outpost Kumalda located in Maldevta, told that children reach here from home on some other pretext and take intoxicants and then take a bath in the river. Seeing the danger, he has caught many children doing this. After persuasion, they hand them over to their relatives.
Keep an eye on the kids
Superintendent of Police Sarita Dobal said that the relatives should also keep a close watch on what the children are doing and where they are going. Many times the children come out lying in the house and reach the river-springs to take bath, which endangers their life. In such a situation, if the children plan to travel, then go with them yourself.
