The accused, who pushed a person into the Bhagirathi river on Saturday night at Kedarghat in Uttarkashi, has been arrested by the police. On Monday, a case was registered against the accused in the murder section after the police interrogation revealed everything about the incident. After this, the police sent him to jail after presenting him in the court. At the same time, the relatives of the deceased who reached the police station Kotwali Uttarkashi raised the demand of the police to recover the person soon.
According to the information, on Sunday, Shivraj Gusain, resident of Ladari, came to the police station Kotwali Uttarkashi and filed a complaint that his hotel worker Soban Singh Panwar son Jabbar Singh, 42 years old, resident of Kholgarh, Pratapnagar police station Lambgaon Tehri Garhwal is missing. Based on the Tahrir, the Kotwali police registered a missing person’s report. Under the direction of SP Arpan Yaduvanshi, the police investigated the CCTV footage installed at Kedarghat while proceeding with the investigation of the case. When the team formed under the leadership of Kotwali in-charge Mohan Kathait saw the CCTV footage, they were also surprised. In the video, the missing Soban Singh was thrown into the Bhagirathi river near Kedarghat in the night by the youth working as a helper in the hotel along with him. After which the police took the accused Mahadev Nautiyal son Govind Ram Nautiyal, 32 years resident Gyansu into custody within six hours. The accused is originally a resident of Deval village, Thana Lambagaon, Tehri Garhwal. The team consisted of Prakash Rana, Deepak Singh, Govind Singh, Sardar Singh, Pramod Singh, Manish Mangai, Kapil, Neeraj Rawat. The SP has announced a reward of Rs 5000 for the team.
