Another patient of monkeypox in Delhi, a 35-year-old man infected

Another patient of monkeypox has been found in the capital Delhi. This 35-year-old man is from Nigeria but currently lives in Delhi. He had not even traveled abroad recently. This is the second case of monkeypox virus in Delhi. That’s where  Earlier, a total of 5 cases of monkeypox have been confirmed in the country, out of which one patient has died.

Monkeypox virus is now seen knocking in Rajasthan as well. Two suspected patients of monkeypox have been reported here. The first patient is from Ajmer and the second is from Bharatpur. Both have been brought to Rajasthan University of Health Science (RUHS), Jaipur.  The patients have been kept in isolation. Their samples have been sent to Pune for further investigation.

Monkeypox has taken the life of a patient

The first death due to monkeypox in India has also been confirmed today. The 22-year-old man who died in Kerala has been confirmed that he died due to monkeypox virus. This person is from UAE.  The sample was sent to NIV Pune to find out whether the person has died due to monkeypox virus. There the results have come positive.

This person died on 30 July in Thrissur, Kerala.  Due to the growing concern about monkeypox, the central government is also in action.  The Center has also formed a task force.  It is headed by Dr VK Paul and Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan.

Apart from this, three more patients of monkeypox have been found in Kerala.  One of those three has fully recovered.  The condition of the rest is also improving.  The four people found infected in Kerala had come through the Middle East.  On the other hand, the matter which had come up earlier from Delhi did not go anywhere abroad.  He had just visited Manali a few days before being found infected.

So far more than 20 thousand cases of monkeypox have been reported in the world.  It has spread to 77 countries.  Due to this 75 people have died in African countries.
