Uttar Pradesh : ‘Bulldozer’ of action on SDM who demolished businessman’s wall in Moradabad

Suspended SDM Ghanshyam Verma made a mess in a hurry. The ‘bulldozer’ of action went on within 21 days on the SDM who demolished the boundary of the furniture business house with a bulldozer. At present, the suspended SDM has said to keep his side in the government.

SDM Ghanshyam Verma had taken furniture from businessman Zahid Ahmed on July 2. Meanwhile, a complaint against Zahid for taking possession of the pond land was made at the tehsil level. With no action taken, the matter reached the IGRS portal. After this, on July 12, the SDM got a bulldozer run on the boundary wall of the furniture trader’s house. Later the furniture trader complained to the commissioner. Zahid Ahmed had told the complaint letter that the SDM had taken the furniture on July 2 and sent it to the Deputy Jailor of Hardoi.

In the investigation of the ADM administration, it was found that the SDM had acted against the rules in the matter of the concerned land. If the land belonged to the pond, then the SDM had to complete the process of eviction first. It was found not justified to take action on the basis of no dues alone. After 21 days of running the bulldozer, the bulldozer itself started the suspension action on the SDM.
