Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Goldsmith caught for buying stolen mangalsutra, There was a robbery incident with a woman in broad daylight on the day of Teacher’s Day

On the day of Teacher’s Day, the plaintiff Subodh Kumar Thapliyal, resident of Vidhya Vihar Phase-2, near the police station Patelnagar, Anand Tent House Kotwali Patelnagar Dehradun, filed a complaint that a motorcyclist swooped on my wife’s neck while going from Kargi Chowk to Kabadi Bazar. They have fled after looting the gold mangalsutra. In this case, a team of 10 policemen including the Inspector of Patel Nagar police station opened the case within 24 hours and along with catching the robber, the goldsmith who bought the stolen mangalsutra was also nabbed. There was a stir in the police department as soon as the incident of chain robbery from a woman came to light in broad daylight. In a hurry, after the instructions of the police officers, a team was formed and started searching for the miscreant from different angles.

According to the police, during this time a suspicious motor cycle and the person sitting in it matched the description given by the victim, and the number plate of this motorcycle was found to be UK07AF-5054. The informer came by special and told that the robber you are looking for is a smack drinker and has been in jail for theft of M.S.A. It is near the bridge before the Kabadi bridge.

Police said that it came to know from the informer that at this time he is standing on the road to the junk market near the Kabadi bridge with the red Moss hunk, which he has got black taping done.

On receiving this information, the police team along with the informer reached near the scrap market, then some distance before the informer stopped the police team and hid behind the vehicles parked on the side of the road and told that the person who is sitting on the black colored Mosa0, He is the same person who carried out the robbery between Kargi Chowk to Kabadi Pul.

After this, an attempt was made by the police team to arrest the said person, then he started trying to run away by starting the Mosa, which was surrounded and caught by the police team.

According to the police, the arrested person was asked the reason for his escape while asking for his name and address, then the arrested person gave his name as Mau Kafi son Raunak Ali N. Kanhaiya Bihar, near Kargi Grant, Thana Patelnagar, Dehradun age-22 years.

When he was searched, apart from the clothes he was wearing, no other illegal thing was recovered and the person caught was questioned, then the caught person started talking here and there, the person on which the caught person was sitting, inspected the said MoS. If gone, the number plate of UK0-07 AF 5054 has been installed on the MoS and the chassis number is- MBLKC13EDAGH02426 and the engine number is KCBEDAGH02173 and the MSA has been blackened with black tapering foil, whose black foil is checked by tearing a little, then it is Mosa0 red. The color HUNK is from the company HERO HONDA.

The police told that the caught person was strictly asked about the black tapping Mosa, then it told that sir I have made a mistake, I myself was going from Kargi Chowk to ISBT at around 02 a. The mangalsutra was snatched and plundered in one fell swoop, whose black garland was broken in the tangle, and I had thrown the half-finished garland somewhere on the way, keeping only the pandal mangalsutra with me.

According to the police, the accused told that I had sold it at a jewelers’ shop in Kargi Grant for Rs 14000/-. I have spent the money but if you come, I can take you to that jeweler’s shop. The police couldn’t catch me.

Mohd. No. UK-07 AF 5054 was occupied by the police in the above case and reached Kargi Grant with the person caught by the police team, then the arrested person pointed to the shop of Al Sultan Jewelers and told that this is that shop, Where I had sold the plundered mangalsutra pandal.

After this, the police went inside the shop and saw a person was present in the shop, on seeing which the person caught said that I have sold the mangalsutra to them, on this, when asked about the owner of the shop, the person present himself Asking the name and address of the shop to identify the person caught, then the owner of the shop told his name as Shahnawaz son Sultan Ni-Mohalla Road, Behat police station, Behat district, Saharanpur (U.P.) Hall Ni-Kargi Grant Dehradun.

Seeing the person caught, he said that this person had come to me with a mangalsutra, which was about 5 grams, to sell, I asked for the bill for the pandal, then he said that there is no bill, I need a lot of money. If someone is sick in my house, then he gave me a photocopy of his Aadhar card, so I bought a mangalsutra pandal by paying Rs 14000/-.

On asking for a mangalsutra, a pandal was given from inside by Shahnawaz, which was taken into custody by the police on being related to the said case.

Section 411 Bhadvi has been increased in the prosecution. Accused Mohd Kafi son Raunak Ali Ni 0 Kanhaiya Bihar, Near Kargi Grant, Thana Patelnagar, Dehradun on his spot and looted property recovered and accused Shahnawaz son Sultan Ni-mohalla road across Behat police station Behat district Saharanpur (U.P.) Hall N-Cargi Grant Dehradun was arrested by the police after the looted goods were recovered from him.
