SDM Sadar Anil Chanyal has gone missing from the government residence. They have also left the government car and mobile at home. Whereas, his personal number is coming off. On the information, Commissioner Kumaon Deepak Rawat, in view of the seriousness of the matter, has also spoken to DM Narendra Singh Bhandari and SP Champawat Devendra Pincha over the phone. While registering the missing report of SDM Sadar Anil Chanyal, the police has started searching for him.

According to the information, Anil Chanyal was not present at the government residence on Monday morning when the staff reached home to pick up SDM Sadar before going on duty. He was on leave for the last two days. His cook informed the police. The cook told the police that Anil Chanyal had left a note of his, in which it is written that his official phone should be given to the disaster management department as it is his property.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, Commissioner Kumaon Deepak Rawat has directed DM Champawat to take the help of surveillance and check CCTV cameras. At the same time, in a conversation with ETV India, SP Champawat Devendra Pincha confirmed the incident and said that police teams have been formed in search of SDM Sadar Anil Chanyal, who are looking for him. At the same time, the police captain has put the cyber cell on alert mode, so far all the small and big officers of the district are avoiding giving statements to the media in this whole matter. According to sources, SDM Anil has not even reached his ancestral house.
