Vidya Bharti’s National Organizing Secretary Yatindra Sharma confirmed this at a function held in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. A leading newspaper quoted Sharma as saying that the aim of the new universities is to bring about a positive change in education. At the same time, now its purpose is to focus on higher education through its organization’s higher education institution.

Campaign started regarding NEP

RSS affiliate Vidya Bharti recently announced a campaign to raise awareness about the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 launched by the Centre. The objective of this campaign is to highlight the aspects of ‘India Centric Education’. It is also tasked with inspiring ‘Dignity of Labour’ with the proposed skill education from Class VI onwards and encouraging ‘mother tongue’ in competitions based on NEP. The campaign started on 11 September.

Aim to help the government on NEP

Announcing this, Shriram Aravkar, the general secretary of the organization, said that with their large network of schools across the country, they aim to help the government in the implementation of the NEP. Describing the NEP as an India-centric policy, Aravkar said it should reach the remotest parts of the country. The campaign includes discussions on the scope, scale and impact of reforms under the NEP. In addition, MyNEP contests and other popular NEP-themed contests are also being organized.
