Health Department Uttarakhand got second place in Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar will receive the honor in Delhi AIIMS tomorrow

Uttarakhand has achieved great success under the Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav. On the occasion of the birthday of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji across the country from 17 September 2022 to 01 October 2022, Uttarakhand got the second position at the national level in the Blood Donor Collection in the Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav. The State of Uttarakhand will be honored by the Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya at AIIMS, Delhi on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day on 1 October, courtesy the Blood Transfusion Council Division of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. On behalf of the state, this honor will be received by Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, in-charge Secretary Medical Health and Medical Education Department. Dr. Saroj Naithani, Director, Blood Transmission Council Uttarakhand, Dr. Sujata Singh, Officer-in-Charge, Blood Cell, National Health Mission will also be present on this occasion.
Let us tell you that from September 17, under the Amrit Mahotsav, blood donors were registered in the Raktkosh portal in all the districts, so that contact with blood donors could be done as per the requirement. Also, interested persons donated blood by going to the blood donation camp. Appreciation certificates were received from the e-Raktkosh portal to the persons donating blood in the camp and those who had registered in the Raktkosh.
On the achievement of Blood Donor Amrit Mahotsav, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Secretary in-charge of Medical Health and Medical Education Department told that he did excellent work by establishing coordination between state and district level in getting blood donor collection, for which the Government of India is felicitating. For this, all the officers and employees of the Health Department deserve congratulations. The goal of the department is to get more and more people registered as blood donors in the e-Raktkosh portal of the Health Department, so that Uttarakhand can make a significant contribution to the charitable work of blood donation.
