Maharashtra : Threats to blow up two malls, a hotel in Mumbai; Police engaged in investigation after phone call
After the threat of bomb blasts at many places in Mumbai, the police is in action and is investigating. The police had received a threatening call on Wednesday saying that bomb blasts would be carried out at several prominent places in Mumbai. According to the Mumbai Police, a call was made to its helpline number 112. The caller said that there will be three bomb blasts in Mumbai. Police said security agencies are trying to identify the caller for further action.
Mumbai Police said, “Bomb blasts at 3 locations in Mumbai received phone calls. Security agencies are trying to identify the caller so that further action can be taken. The caller claimed that Infinity Mall Andheri, PVR Mall There will be blasts at Juhu and Sahara Hotel airports.”
Soon after receiving the call, security was beefed up and Sahar Airport Police Juhu, Amboli and Bangur Nagar police stations as well as CISF and BDDS teams were deployed. As per updates, the phone call was made around 10:30 pm on Tuesday and Mumbai Police said that they are identifying the caller so that further action can be taken.
