Uttarakhand : CM reviewed the announcements made by the Prime Minister, Haldwani will be developed with the development plans of 2200 crores

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the implementation of development plans worth Rs 2,200 crore made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Haldwani city at Circuit House Kathgodam on Friday. The Chief Minister instructed the officers that it is the responsibility of the officers to ensure that the development plans are visible on the ground. The Chief Minister said that public service is our aim. It is the responsibility of the officers to ensure timely implementation of schemes related to the general public. The Chief Minister instructed the officials of the Uttarakhand Urban Sector Development Agency, the executive body (UUSDA) preparing the DPR for the development of the city funded by ADB under the Integrated Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme, the DPRs of the schemes. Not ready yet, they should be finalized soon. He said that suggestions of people’s representatives for urban development should also be included in the DPR, for this he directed the executive body to hold regional representatives and inter-departmental meetings within 10 days.

He said that by holding an inter-departmental meeting before finalizing the DPR, coordination would be maintained and there would be no problem later. He said that the executive body should ensure that the service duct is laid on the road before construction so that the public does not face repeated problems and government funds are not misused. He instructed Divisional Commissioner Kumaon Deepak Rawat to monitor the work every week so that the work could be seen on the ground. The Chief Minister instructed that the officers should memorize the information and figures of the schemes orally. He instructed the officers to attend the upcoming meeting with preparation. Expressing his displeasure over the delay in the implementation of schemes, the Chief Minister said that due to the poor working style of some officers, the government becomes a partner of criticism. For this, he instructed all the officers to improve their working style and also asked them to dispose of public works on top priority.

In the meeting, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Rawat informed the Chief Minister that a DPR worth Rs 1298 crore has been prepared for water supply and sewerage work and sent to planning and ADB, in which the total cost of water supply is Rs 835.94 crore and sewerage is Rs 461.77 crore. DPR of the cost has been prepared. Considering the year 2025 as the base year, the DPR has been prepared targeting the population till 2055. 300 crores for drainage management in this scheme, 100 crores for security and monitoring. And 500 crores for urban scenario and transport. There is a provision for whose DPR is to be finalized. To increase the underground water level of the city, green areas should be developed in government schools, degree colleges and other areas for the development of green areas. That the old market of Haldwani should also be prepared in the same symmetry so that the market looks attractive and grand. Along with this, electricity lines will be made underground, so that the beauty of the markets will attract tourists in Haldwani as well. Haldwani is the main city of Kumaon, where there is a major problem of drainage and sewerage. Presently all the areas of the city are not connected with sewerage, through this DPR the system of sewerage and septic tank of the city will be strengthened so that the purification of sewerage can be done through STP tank.

District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal said that under this scheme, the old market of Haldwani will also be beautified with modern technology and mythological architecture (Gothic style) of Uttarakhand. The old market of Haldwani should also be prepared in the same symmetry so that the market looks attractive and grand. Along with this, electricity lines will be made underground, so that the beauty of the markets will attract tourists in Haldwani as well. On this occasion, Mayor Dr. Jogender Pal Singh Rautela, MLA and former minister Banshidhar Bhagat, MLA Dr. Mohan Singh Bisht, Ramsingh Kaida, Vice President District Panchayat Anand Daramwal and public representatives and officers were present.
