Along with Guldar on the mountain, now the terror of the bear has also spread. Today a heart-wrenching incident has happened in Bageshwar district. An elderly man of Chucher village in the district has been seriously injured by a bear. His face is completely scratched. In the attack of the bear, the condition of the elderly has become such that anyone’s soul will tremble after seeing them.

Fighting to the death

The condition of the elderly has become extremely critical due to excessive bleeding after the bear attack. Relatives are bringing him to the district hospital. He is battling death. This is the second incident in the area in a month. Due to which panic has spread. People have accused the Forest Department of neglect. They have demanded patrolling and control over dreaded wild animals.

The bear had reached near the house

Under the Dharamghar forest area, 68-year-old Bhagat Singh Koranga was going to collect Charapatti at around seven o’clock on Wednesday morning. Just 200 meters away from the house, the bear attacked him furiously on the Gauna donkey. The bear has scratched his face badly.

Relatives are being taken to the district hospital

Bhagat Singh tried his best to save his life and ran towards the slope to escape. Hearing the noise, the villagers also reached the spot. On this the bear ran away. Village head Bhupal Singh told that the old man was badly injured. He is swinging between life and death. There is excessive bleeding. He is being brought to the district hospital.

Second incident in a month

The bear attacked on November 13 as well. 55-year-old Sher Singh’s son Bhim Singh, resident of Bhanar area, was grazing sheep and goats in the forest. Suddenly the bear appeared there. It pounced straight on them and bit them with its teeth, attacking the face and legs. Others present around barely saved Sher Singh from the clutches of the bear. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bareilly. He is swinging between life and death. Forest Range Officer Dharamghar Pradeep Kandpal said that Rs 10,000 has been given to the injured Bhagat Singh Koranga. Villager Parsilal Verma, Man Singh Koranga said that Forest Department is the healer. He has demanded immediate maximum compensation.
