Uttarakhand : Bareilly’s tourist drowns in the Ganges at Neem Beach, came to Haridwar with friends for a wedding

A tourist from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh got swept away in the Ganges while taking a bath at Neem Beach in Tapovan Chowki area. SDRF started a search operation in Ganga but the youth was not found till evening. The youth had come to visit Rishikesh after attending a wedding ceremony at Kankhal in Haridwar.
SDRF Inspector Kavindra Sajwan said that on Saturday, information was received from the police about a youth flowing in the Ganges at Neem Beach. On information, the SDRF team reached the spot. The youth’s friends told that Rahul Mishra (32) resident of Bareilly Uttar Pradesh was taking bath at Neem beach.
During this, he started flowing in the Ganges after falling in the grip of strong current. In no time he disappeared in the waves of the Ganges. The SDRF inspector told that the youth was searched from Neem Beach to Pashulok Barrage. After the conclusion of the marriage ceremony on Friday, he came to visit Rishikesh with six of his friends on Saturday.
