Uttarakhand: CM Dhami gave Atal Nirmal Award to 9 municipal bodies, logo of ‘Doon Cantt Swachhata Chaupal’ launched

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored the Atal Nirmal Nagar Puraskar 2023 to the Nirmal Nagars who performed better in the Swachh Survekshan-2022 at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. On this occasion, Atal Nirmal Puraskar was given to 9 bodies of the state and Swachh Gaurav Samman was given to 5 bodies awarded at the national level. The Chief Minister also launched the logo of Doon Cantt Swachhta Chaupal during the programme. Chief Minister Dhami said that the amount of Atal Nirmal Nagar Award will be increased from Rs.1 crore to Rs.2 crore. The Cantt Board will also be included in this, according to the provisions that will be made. The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban will also be given an incentive amount of Rs. 05-05 thousand for the goods after the house is built. Paryavaran Mitras working during the Yatra in Kedarnath, Badrinath and Gangotri will be given additional honorarium for food and warm uniform. An amount of 01 percent will be made available from the State Finance Commission for payment of pension bills of Centralized Service employees. Congratulating the representatives, officers and employees of the Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayat, the Chief Minister said that by performing better in the cleanliness survey 2022, these bodies have brought laurels to our state by getting recognition at the national level. Is. It is a matter of pride for Uttarakhand that 9 bodies have been selected for the year 2022-23 on the basis of better performance in the cleanliness survey 2022. The Chief Minister said that the bodies are the mirrors of the state.

On this occasion, Urban Development Minister Premchandra Aggarwal said that good work is being done by the civic bodies for the development of the state. Getting the award on a big platform gives a sense of pride. This inspires other bodies to do good work. It is a big achievement for the state to get a total of 6 awards at the national level.

The category-wise selection of bodies for the Atal Nirmal Nagar Puraskar 2022-23 was done on the basis of their performance in the Swachh Survekshan-2022. In which Municipal Corporation Dehradun got first, Municipal Corporation Roorkee second and Municipal Corporation Rishikesh got third prize. Funds of Rs 20 lakh, Rs 15 lakh and Rs 10 lakh were provided to these municipal corporations respectively. Among the municipalities Munikireti municipality got first prize, Narendra Nagar municipality second and Doiwala got third prize.

Funds of Rs 15 lakh, 10 lakh and 08 lakh were provided to these municipalities respectively. Among Nagar Panchayats, Nagar Panchayat Nandprayag got first, Nagar Panchayat Sultanpur second and Nagar Panchayat Gularbhoj got third prize. These Nagar Panchayats were given funds of Rs 10 lakh, Rs 7 lakh and Rs 5 lakh respectively.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave Swachhta Gaurav Samman to 05 nationally awarded bodies in Swachh Survekshan-2022, in which Municipal Corporation Haridwar ranked first among Gangetic cities with population of more than one lakh at national level, Cantonment Board Landour in Cantonment Council category. First place for maximum citizen feedback, Nagar Palika Parishad Ramnagar has been awarded the Fastest Mover City award in North Zone cities with a population of 50,000 to 01 lakh, Nagar Palika Parishad Doiwala has been awarded the Fastest Mover City award in North Zone cities with a population of less than 15,000. And Nagar Palika Parishad Narendra Nagar was given the Best Sustainable City Award in cities with a population of less than 15,000 in the North Zone.
