Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar held a virtual meeting with the Chief Medical Officers of the state, gave instructions regarding the preparations for COVID-19

A review was done by Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Health Secretary from his office located at the Secretariat with the Chief Medical Officers of all the 13 districts in the state through virtual medium regarding the preparation of COVID-19 and Uttarakhand Health Employment Generation Program. In the review, the program to be held at the Chief Minister’s residence on 23 December 2022 was first reviewed with the Chief Medical Officers of all the districts and distribution of appointment letters by the Honorable Chief Minister and Honorable Health Minister to the newly appointed Community Health Officers through the programme. Have to go After this, while reviewing COVID-19 by Secretary Health, it was told that at present, an increase in the number of COVID-19 patients has been registered in many countries of the world such as Japan, United States of America, Republic of Korea, Brazil and China. The COVID-19 pandemic still remains a worldwide public health challenge.
In the meeting, Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar told that the form of COVID-19 virus keeps on changing and from time to time, new variants keep getting reflected as a public health problem, so it is important to monitor the existing variants. In the same sequence, all the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers, as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India in June 2022 for the Operational Guideline for Revised Surveillance Strategy in context of COVID-19, for early identification, isolation, testing and management of suspected and confirmed cases of COVID-19 Officers should ensure preparation for rescue and control related to COVID-19 variant in their respective districts. Along with this, it has also appealed to the general public that there is no need to panic in any way and follow the guidelines given by the government from time to time.
