Med Star Hospital, Bandha Road. According to the information, Ram Avtar, a resident of Ramuvapur village of Nighasan in Lakhimpur Kheri, had come to Lucknow Med Star Hospital for his treatment. His intestine had burst, which was operated in the hospital. But after the surgery, a bill of Rs 2.5 lakh came from the hospital.
Deputy CM has ordered an inquiry
The family members of the patient had requested the hospital to waive Rs 75,000. But the hospital staff denied this. According to the information, for not reducing the bill, his family members who came with the patient opposed this. It is alleged that the person accompanying the patient was taken hostage because of this. He was thrashed with belt and stick.
The viral video has also reached Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak. Taking cognizance of the matter, the Deputy CM has ordered the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to investigate the matter.
