PM Modi’s gift to the donors, Rs. 2000 reached to the account of 9.5 crore farmers
A good news has emerged for farmers in the midst of the Corona crisis. PM Modi has released the 8th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme today i.e. on 14th May. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar informed that 10.82 crore farmers have taken advantage of this scheme. So far, 1.16 lakh crore rupees have reached the account of farmers. Under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, 6000 rupees are given annually in three installments to the farmers’ account. An amount of Rs 18,000 crore was released in December last year under the 7th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. According to the central government, under this scheme, more than one lakh crore rupees have been released to 10.60 crore farmers.
Except for Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, where Aadhaar access is minimal, every outstanding installment is being given from 01.12.2019 on the basis of the available Aadhaar database of all the beneficiaries.
