Hearing on 12th board examinations postponed, Center asks for two days

A hearing was held in the Supreme Court today on the demand to cancel the 12th board examinations. But the hearing has been postponed. The central government has sought two days’ time from the court to share its decision. While adjourning the matter, the Supreme Court has told the Centre, CBSE that if it has decided to go ahead with the examination and does not intend to follow its previous year’s policy of canceling the examination, it is appropriate to Give reasons also. The court has adjourned the hearing of the case till June 3. The Supreme Court, agreeing on two days’ time, has asked the Center and CBSE to share their decision by Thursday. Justice Khanwilkar told the Attorney General, you take a decision. But if you are getting distracted by the decision taken last year not to conduct the exam, then you should tell us the good reasons.

The bench said that whatever decision is appropriate, take it. But the concerns that have been expressed. Keep them in mind. The petitioner states that last year’s policy should be followed.
