State Tourism, Irrigation and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj on Wednesday expressed his sympathies to the families of the martyrs while paying tribute to those killed in the Kedarnath tragedy 8 years ago. State Tourism and Irrigation Minister Satpal Maharaj on Wednesday expressed his feelings towards the families of those killed in the horrific disaster of June 16, 2013, eight years ago in the hill districts of Uttarakhand, including Kedarnath, at his camp office on Subhash Road. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that 8 years ago, in Kedarnath and its surroundings, there was a scene of huge devastation in the horrific disaster. During this, there was heavy loss of life and property, thousands of people were injured in the disaster, today is the eighth anniversary of Kedarnath disaster. He said that I will always have sympathy for the families of the families who lost their loved ones. Tourism Minister Shri Maharaj said that since the disaster, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, reconstruction work is in full swing along with beautifying Kedarpuri. A lot has changed in Kedarpuri now than before. He said that the calamity of June 16, 2013 had caused great destruction in Kedarnath. The fear of the deluge had forced hundreds of families of the valley to migrate to the plains. We must learn from this heart-wrenching tragedy. Shri Maharaj said that we should avoid exploiting nature unnecessarily and conduct ourselves in Devbhoomi according to religious beliefs.
