Gold slips, silver shines

On Wednesday, gold fell on the domestic level, while silver rose on the domestic level under pressure from the fall in the yellow metal overseas. In the MCX futures market, gold fell by Rs 29, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 48,395 per 10 grams. Gold Mini also declined by Rs 17 to Rs 48,213 per 10 grams. Unlike gold, silver rose by Rs 270, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 71,518 per kg. Silver Mini also gained Rs 273 to Rs 71,573 per kg.

In the international market, spot gold fell by five dollars to $ 1,854.90 an ounce. However, the US gold futures for August also rose by $ 0.20 to $ 1,856.60 an ounce. Silver spot rose by $ 0.05 to sell at $ 27.73 an ounce.
