Sports Ministry extends last date for submission of applications for Sports Awards 2021 till June 28

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has issued nominations/applications for sports awards like Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, Dhyanchand Award, Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar (RKPP) and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy (MAKA) for 2021 and 19 were invited on May 20. The notifications were uploaded on the website of the Ministry.

According to a release issued by the Sports Ministry, the last date for receipt of nominations has been extended from June 21, 2021 to June 28, 2021 (Monday). Nominations/applications are invited for the award from eligible sportspersons/coaches/institutions/universities. Indian Olympic Associations / Sports Authority of India / Recognized National Sports Federations / Sports Promotion Boards / State and Central Governments etc. are also informed accordingly. Nominations received after June 28, 2021 will not be considered.
