Tata Steel to join Sensex from Monday

Tata Group’s steel maker Tata Steel will rejoin the BSE Sensitive Index Sensex on Monday after a gap of six months.

There are 30 companies in the Sensex. From Monday, Tata Steel will be included in this in place of public sector oil and gas company ONGC. The inclusion of a company in the Sensex shows its impact on the market.
Changes are also being made in other indices from June 21. In the ‘BSE 100’ and ‘BSE Sensex Next 50’, AU Small Finance Bank, Adani Enterprises and Cholamandalam Investment and Finance will be included in place of Bosch Ltd, LIC Housing Finance Ltd and TVS Motor.

AU Small Finance Bank will be replaced by RBL Bank in the BSE Bankex index of banking companies.
