CM did yoga practice in Uttarakhand Ayurvedic Vishwavidyalaya campus

Uttarakhand has a different identity in the world because of yoga: CM

Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat practiced yoga in the premises of Uttarakhand Ayurvedic Vishwavidyalaya on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Yoga practice was done following the Covid protocol. Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand has a different identity in the world because of Yoga. The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 to be celebrated as International Day of Yoga. This was the result of the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Yoga provides strength both physically and mentally. Yoga is the science of connecting body, mind and soul. India has a unique identity in the world because of yoga. Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has played an important role in taking Yoga to the country and the world. Everyone has to do regular yoga for a healthy life. AYUSH and AYUSH Education Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand has a very old relationship with Yoga. In the Himalayas, yoga was practiced by sages and sages from ancient times in caves and caves. Coming out of the land of Uttarakhand, Yoga has spread to the country and the world. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and gave recognition to Yoga at the global level. He said that the people of Uttarakhand are fortunate that apart from being this yoga land, we are living in the midst of a pure environment. Ayurvedic Research Institute is being set up at Charak Danda.

On this occasion Secretary Ayush Shri Chandresh Yadav, Vice Chancellor Uttarakhand Ayurvedic Vishwavidyalaya Prof. Sunil Kumar, Director Ayurvedic and Unani Services Dr. M. P. Singh, District Magistrate Dehradun Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava etc. were present.
