Alert to the arrival of new cases of new variant Delta Plus infection of COVID in many states of the country, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed health experts to make necessary strategies. CM Yogi said in the meeting of Team-9 constituted for COVID-19 management on Thursday that patients of new variant of COVID Delta Plus infection have appeared in many states of the country. We have to be very careful. Necessary strategy should be decided in consultation with the state level health expert advisory committee.
CM said that in view of the confirmation of delta plus variant in the state bordering Uttar Pradesh, genome sequencing should be done by taking samples from adjacent districts. Necessary facilities for genome sequencing should be provided at KGMU, Lucknow at the earliest. He said that in the last 24 hours, 229 new cases of corona infection have been reported while 308 people were discharged after recovering. At present, 3,552 infected patients are being treated in the state. He said that controlling the epidemic in the state with a population of 25 crores is the result of better teamwork. Due to continuous planned efforts, now most of the districts are not getting new cases of infection, so in many districts new cases are coming to the unit.

Let us inform that in the last 24 hours, more than two lakh 71 thousand sample tests were done in UP and not a single infected patient was found in 20 districts, while in 49 districts were found infected in unit digits. Corona patients were found in two digits in six districts. The state’s test positivity rate has consistently remained less than one percent. The positivity rate stood at 0.08 percent on Wednesday. The CM said that in the last 24 hours, 229 new cases came and 308 people were discharged after recovering. At present, a total of 3,552 infected patients are being treated in the state. Whereas, 2149 people are under treatment in home isolation. The COVID recovery rate in the state has gone up to 98.5 percent. So far 5 crore 62 lakh 71 thousand 231 COVID tests have been done and the number of those who have recovered after getting treated has exceeded 16 lakh 79 thousand.

The Chief Minister said that for June, we had set a target of one crore vaccines and till June 23, 97 lakh people have been given vaccine cover. The target of applying minimum 6 lakh vaccines every day from June 21 to 30 is also being met. Seven lakh 84 thousand people were vaccinated on Wednesday too, out of which 5 lakh 27 thousand were only in the age group of 18-44. So far, more than 2.80 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the state. More than 41 lakh 42 thousand people have received both the doses of the vaccine. All preparations should be completed for the target of providing vaccine cover to minimum 10 lakh people every day from July 1.

CM Yogi said that in view of the possibility of third wave of COVID, all necessary efforts should be completed at the earliest. Speed ​​up the installation process of Piku/Neeku. Availability of all necessary equipment including bipack machine, pediatric ICU, mobile X-ray machine should be ensured. There should be direct communication with their manufacturing companies. The work of the first phase of doctors and nursing staff has been completed.
