A canter truck rammed into the personal vehicle of the Joint Commissioner of the Commercial Taxes Department in Mathura area, allegedly while trying to crush him. The incident took place when the Joint Commissioner along with his mobile squad team was checking a vehicle carrying silver without paying GST.

In this incident, Commercial Tax Department officer Virendra Singh and a constable Kishore Kumar Shukla were killed, while Joint Commissioner Special Investigation Branch (SIB) Manoj Tripathi, Assistant Commissioner Vinay Gupta, driver Vijay Kumar, Peon Vinod Kumar were seriously injured. went.

Anil Rawat, the assistant of the pickup vehicle being checked by the officials, was also taken to the hospital.

The truck driver fled from the spot after the incident.

Mathura District Magistrate said that Tripathi has been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Noida and his condition is stated to be critical. The condition of the other three is said to be stable and they have been admitted to Kailash Hospital.

He said, I am in constant touch with the District Magistrate of Noida. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mant and Circle Officer have also visited the hospital in Noida to meet the family members of the victims.

Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes Vinay Asthana told reporters that Joint Commissioner Tripathi had some information about GST evasion of silver consignment from Agra to Delhi.
