On the Martyrdom Day of Martyr Suresh Tomar, resident of Gaski, regional public representatives and local people along with family paid floral tributes at his memorial. The youth took a pledge to serve the nation and free the society from evils. Kalsi Block Pramukh Mathor Singh said that in independent India, martyr Suresh Tomar is the first youth of Jaunsar Bawar region, who made his supreme sacrifice for the country. During his five years of service in the army, at the young age of just 26, he was martyred while fighting terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Martyr Suresh, who grew up in the village, gave martyrdom in the year 27 June 2002 after joining the Indian Army in 1997. Senior Deputy Chief Bhim Singh Chauhan told that even today Shaheed Suresh remains a source of inspiration for the youth of Jaunsar Bawar. From their martyrdom, the youth take inspiration to serve the nation. He said that inculcating the spirit of patriotism and social service among the youth would be a true tribute to the martyr.
