South Africa level the series by winning the second T20

South Africa beat West Indies by 16 runs in the second T20I to level the five-match series 1-1 on the back of brilliant bowling by George Linde (2 for 19), who became Player of the Match. After suffering a massive eight-wicket defeat in the first match, South Africa restricted the Windies to 150 for nine in 20 overs after scoring 166 for seven in 20 overs in the second match. Linde bowled brilliantly and took two wickets for just 19 runs in four overs. Linde sent two dangerous Windies batsmen Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell to the pavilion. Pooran scored nine and Russell made five.

Earlier, in South Africa’s innings, opener Reeza Hendrix scored 42 and captain Temba Bavuma scored 46 runs. Opener Chinton de Kock contributed 26 runs. In the Windies innings, opener Andre Fletcher made 35 and tail batsman Fabian Allen scored 34 runs in just 12 balls with the help of five sixes but he was out on the fifth ball of the last over.
