With the opening of the new center in Gwalior, not only the farmers of Gwalior division, but also the farmers of 21 districts of North Madhya Pradesh will be benefited from the schemes of National Horticulture Board (NHB). The 21 districts that will be covered by this center include the districts of Chambal, Gwalior, Rewa, Sagar and Shahdol divisions. These districts are Gwalior, Morena, Sheopur, Bhind, Ashok Nagar, Shivpuri, Datia, Guna, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Anuppur, Shahdol and Umaria. Farmers associated with horticulture of these 21 districts including Gwalior-Chambal region will no longer have to face the problem of commuting to Bhopal or Delhi, all their work will now be completed at the Gwalior center itself. Tomar has collaborated with the Union Agriculture Ministry and NHB to start this center. Thanks to the officers.

Tomar said that similarly development works are being started in Gwalior-Chambal region one after the other. Soon Chambal region will be established as Honey Hub in the country, for which National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) in collaboration with National Bee Board (NBB) by Nafed in Morena district today. Under this scheme, Bhoomi Pujan of laboratory-unit is being done for processing and quality testing of honey and other beekeeping products.

The Union Minister said that as a result of the farmer-friendly policies of the Central Government and the hard work of the farmers, today our country is not only self-sufficient in terms of food, but is surplus and is also supplying to the world. The Government of India has started all-round measures for the prosperity of the agriculture sector through schemes like PM Kisan, various missions, subsidies etc. Fund for crop loan has been increased to Rs.16 lakh crore. Despite the Corona crisis, along with giving Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to more than two crore farmers with the help of banks, the work of giving loans of more than two lakh crore rupees has been done successfully. This has been possible due to the determination of the Prime Minister. Similarly, Rs 6,865 crore will be spent in the next 5 years to create 10,000 new FPOs. This scheme will bring revolutionary changes in the lives of farmers. Small farmers will benefit a lot from FPO. Under the self-reliant India campaign, the Prime Minister has made a provision of packages worth more than 1.5 lakh crore rupees, the implementation of which has already started. The government has opened crores of Jan-Dhan bank accounts, Rs 1 lakh crore. Agri Infra Fund has also been started.

In the program, M.P. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing, Bharatsinh Kushwaha and Gwalior MP Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar have declared Gwalior Zone as NHB. He thanked the Union Minister Tomar for giving the gift of the Centre.
